Holdingford hires new elementary principal
Holdingford Elementary School now has a new principal to replace Mark Messman, who accepted the superintendent position in Eden Valley-Watkins.
The new principal, Jim Stang, was offered and accepted the position Friday.
"I'm confident that Jim's qualifications and experience in the classroom will be a great fit for Holdingford Elementary," said Holdingford superintendent Eric Williams on Friday.

Car runs into Holdingford school bus
Icy road conditions this morning caused a car driven by a Royalton man to skid into the back of a Holdingford school bus.
The accident happened on Nature Road in Two Rivers Township at 7:14 a.m.
Fifteen children were on the bus at the time of the crash, none were injured.
According to Holdingford Superintendent Eric Williams, the bus was stopped and picking up students when it was rear-ended by the car.
The driver of the car, Jordan Wentland, 21, was taken to the hospital by a private party.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.

Holdingford has new fire chief
The City of Holdingford has a new fire chief for the first time in 19 years. The new fire chief, Keith Hommerding, was sworn in at last night's council meeting in Holdingford. Read more about this story in next week's Enterprise!

Sixth-grader wins Holdingford Spelling Bee

Princess Kay visits Avon Elementary
Mary Zahurones, the 2011 Princess Kay of the Milky Way, along with princesses Leah Middendorf and Kirsten Meier, visited Avon Elementary this morning to teach students about where dairy products come from.
Students were attentive as the three spoke about their experiences growing up on a dairy farm and received dairy products at the end of their presentation.
